What? I've been in software development for over a decade. It's been an incredibly enriching experience, from my first steps in Object Oriented Programming to my stint as a BA, and now as a Technical Product Manager. I've had a hand in developing and planning multiple systems for various companies, and guided some others to break into new markets.
If you're not happy where you are, many are always recruiting. You can even do your own projects. I found it amusing that you were kind of talking down working on Raspberry Pis. That just gives me the impression that you're not doing something that you love, and that is not coding's fault.
